Central
Plains Center for Services, located in the heart of
Nebraska, provides a variety of opportunities for positive
change to individuals, families, and communities throughout
the entire state.
The following
programs are currently being offered. See additional information about each
program on this website.
§
Parents (and their babies to age 3) are enjoying the many advantages of being
involved in our Custer County
Parents As Teachers Program.
§
Current and former foster youth who are focused on independence may receive
one-on-one support, guidance and encouragement to aid them through the
challenges of self sufficiency.
PALS (Preparation for Adult Living Services) program
specialists are located across the state of Nebraska.
§
An exciting youth program is the administration of the
Education and Training
Vouchers. In
collaboration with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services we are
administering financial aid for eligible former state wards thus allowing them
to pursue post secondary educational opportunities. How wonderful to be a part
of a program that may be the key to a successful future for many disadvantaged
youth!
Another aspect of our agency is the provision of
workshops for first and second time law violators. These Rehabilitation/Diversion
Workshops are available in Kearney, North Platte, Lexington and Broken Bow.
These group classes encourage participants to look at their beliefs, their
behavior, their consequences, their decisions and their future. |
