The PALS Transitional Program is a youth
directed program, which offers many strengths and benefits to the youth.
This program is unique in that
it
guides,
assists, and directs
the
youth, but it does not
“do” for the youth.
The PALS Program serves all youth from
throughout the state and accepts all youth who are eligible.
Each youth’s situation and needs are different;
therefore the work with the youth is as individual as the youth themselves.
Some areas the youth and PALS Specialist may address are:

The PALS program provides the youth with
the opportunity to work closely with a specialist to plan and prepare for
independence. This program provides a personalized approach to assisting the
youth with their future. It can be fun, innovative, and rewarding.
If you decide a youth meets this criteria and
may benefit from the PALS Program, you may refer the youth by completing and
sending a referral to the PALS Specialist in your area. If you have questions
about who or where to send the referral, please contact Central Plains Center
For Services at 308-872-6176.
