PARENTS AS TEACHERS

...at Central Plains Center for Services

…because kids don’t come with a set of instructions!

What we do:

Home Visits:  You will receive personalized monthly home visits by a Certified Parent Educator who will share activities you can do with your child to encourage and stimulate his or her development.  You will also receive information on what to expect next with your child developmentally.  If you are pregnant, visits are available to keep you informed about your growing baby.  You will be given information concerning your already important role as a parent as well as ways you can begin the attachment process with your child while he of she is in the womb.

Screening: Developmental screening assessments are made annually to ensure that your baby is on the right track developmentally.

Connections to other resources: When a question or concern of yours goes beyond the scope of Parents as Teachers, we will help connect you to a resource that can assist you.  You will also Be informed about activities for parents, children and families in our community as they become available.
