This free class is
now being offered as a “take home” course for all of you that are caring for
youth approaching the age of emancipation (and aren’t they all?). These youth
will hopefully have the advantage of “parents” guiding them through the trials
and tribulations of growing up. They will be facing challenges typical of most
teens and will need the same support, guidance and caring discipline that
everyone needs at that stage of life.
The workbook and
accompanying activity book will give you lots of resources, ideas &
encouragement as well as:
| |
▪◊▪
Guide you through a free on line Ansell Casey
Life Skills
Assessment tool for regularly determining the
strengths, needs and progress of
your youth |
|
| |
▪◊▪
Provide you with an agency approved Independent Living Plan
that will help direct your work with the
youth during this exciting time in
his/her life and can be offered to HHS and the court. |
|
| |
▪◊▪
A simple quiz for your input and for 2 foster parent credits.

These books will
be available through the Resource Development person in your local NDHHS office,
at the three NFAPA conferences this summer or by calling Central Plains Center
for Services at (308) 872-6176.
